An adventure may be worn as a muddy spot or it may be worn as a proud insignia. It is the woman wearing it who makes it the one thing or the other. – Norma Shearer This mural is famous in underground street art world in Barcelona. Depicting the struggle between the people who live here and the encroaching storm of gentrification that is slowly eating away the authentically raw, wholesome, vibrant and real characteristics of this city. Underneath the surface that is shown to tourists is a reality of a city being stolen and changed, curated and on display. It makes me feel so many things. I find myself pulled into the corners of the city that tourists don’t want to be. I want to know but I also want to let it be. #thisisbarcelona
