I know that food blogger don't like to post pictures of themselves (including me!), but people (also including me) want to connect to other people (also here on Instagram) and people don't want to connect to a bowl of salad. So here are a couple of facts about me: 🌟 I started two study programs until I found my passion for nutrition, exercise, and (mental) health. I am currently studying Health science in the Bachelor's, in the near future in the Master's. 🌟 My other passion is everything neuro and brain-related, which is why I am working part-time as a neurofeedback therapist at @brainboost_neurofeedback 🌟 I'm obsessed with studying and learning new things. I especially love the bigger picture across disciplines. 🌟 I am not only a #nutritioncoach , but also a #fitnesstrainer, and a #movnat #naturalmovement (outdoor exercise) trainer. 🌟 I LOVE to get out of my comfort zone. Whether you want to call it #flexibledieting or #cleaneating or #intuitiveeating , I don't want to put a label on my eating, since I want to advocate that every person should find their way of eating healthy and every person is able to do so, without labels or "fixed" diets that tell you what to do. All my snack dreams coming true with these perfect little hummus sliders!! 🌿 The best pick-me-up because its sooo nutritious and yummy and, as always, the COLORS ~duh~. Also, this is definitely going to be my new go-to for a side dish or hors d'oeuvre. This homemade beet hummus (inspired by @wellnesswithcourtnie -the best) is made of: Roasted beet Garbanzo beans Tahini Lemon Garlic Coconut oil Salt Pepper Alllll thrown into a food processor! Roasting the beets is the hardest/longest part- and that only takes 15 minutes! I spread the hummus on my new favorite @simplemills crackers and topped them with a cube of avocado. 🥑 I'm honestly impressed with myself with this one. Goes to show that plant based nutrition doesn't have to be bland or boring. Plants ARE and can be delicious and so dang pretty! | #wellbysaraheliza

Warning long post ahead ‼️ I left work today with a ☁️ over my head. I got home early and decided to go for a run. 🏃🏼‍♀️ I figured I could 1️⃣get in my interval training and 2️⃣try to figure out what was bugging me. As I ran I started to reflect on my day. Woke up. Got ready for work. Packed my daily supply of food. Drove to work. 🚗 Same old same old. But then I realized what was different. 🤦🏼‍♀️I have been in training the past two days. With catered meals. Catered meals that included food I couldn’t eat. I’m pretty used to this by now. I know I have food allergies that make most people was to run in the opposite direction 😱so I’ve learned to always pack food with me wherever I go. However, that’s not the case for everyone. As I ran I realized there was no vegan option🚫, there was only a vegetarian option ☝🏻day, and the gluten free option was picked over almost immediately. Even the salad (a usually safe alternative) had croutons and cheese on it already. 🍽Meals are a very social activity. Being able to enjoy food with other people is a pillar in pretty much every culture. It’s a way to break the ice and get to know the people you’re with. Feeling like an outsider because you can’t partake with the rest of the group is isolating. I know whoever ordered catering didn’t do it with mean intentions. 🙋🏼‍♀️I will be the first to admit it never used to be at the top of my list before my sister was diagnosed. 🤤 Going back to basics for dinner meals this week: Mediterranean Stuffed Sweet Potatoes on repeat! . 🤷🏻‍♀️ May or may not have gotten a little excited when I found @lantanafoods hummus on sale for a STEAL. So I overestimated my ability to get through them all as snacks alone. But they’re perfect in meals like this where I just slop a pile of it on top (very technical culinary terms 😂) . 🙈 Point is, I hate seeing food go to waste and I love leftovers because I don’t have to cook and clean again.
